Broadsheet

Newspaper editorial — nameplate, column rules, kickers and decks, a newsroom built from typography

A print-inspired language for publishers and anything that reads like journalism: newsprint paper, black ink and hairline column rules, a centered serif nameplate with dateline, red kickers above tight serif headlines, italic decks, small-caps bylines, halftone image plates, numbered most-read lists and pull quotes. No cards, no shadows — hierarchy comes from size, weight and rules. The newsroom desk turns the same vocabulary into a story budget ledger, an editorial calendar and readership charts.

Not ideal for

  • Playful consumer apps
  • Image-led lifestyle commerce
